Thank you to all the allies out there who are showing support, love and kindness.
Thank you to those who show a gay kid love, to those who support a transgendered friend through a tough time, to help a girl who just discovered her sexuality. Thank you to those in the community who are helping fellow gay, lesbian and/or transgendered people. For those that fought for equality, who fought for basic human rights that for some reason apparently don’t apply to us, for those who changed the worlds view last year with gaining marriage equality…we’ve still got a long way to go, but every step is wonderful.
Thank you, personally, to my friends, teachers, family who helped me come out.
Let’s take a moment to remember those who we’ve lost as well. Pioneers in the LGBT movement over the years, you won’t be forgotten.
